Training Camp

Training Camp 2019

All sessions will be held at Mic Mac AAC on Lake Banook, Dartmouth. While training camp is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged for everyone to attend, even if you are planning on joining Junior Varsity. The tentative schedule for training camp is as follows:

Saturday, August 31st: 9:30am – 12:30pm (Team Orientation & Rowing)
Sunday, September 1st: 9:30am – 12:30pm (Erging, Rowing, & Post-Training Activity)
Monday, September 2nd: 9:30am – 12:30pm (Rowing, Team Building, & Lunch)

Please register for training camp through the Rowing Canada Aviron website here: https://membership.rowingcanada.org/JoinProgram?id=218  You should select the varsity training/selection camp option. Registration will be open until the end of day August 30th, 2019. In order to be able to row during training camp, you must first pay your fees to Rowing Canada and Row Nova Scotia ($35). If you have already been rowing in a different province this summer, you will only have to pay $15 to Row NS to participate in training camp. If you rowed in Nova Scotia this summer, you will not have to pay any fees to participate in training camp but please still register through the Rowing Canada Aviron Website, under the Mic Mac Amateur Aquatic Club. Following the training camp, you will then be advised on how to register for the varsity program or the junior varsity program.
